This is the favorite itinerary for nature and outdoor life enthusiast people.
I propose an easy walk along some of the paths of the Park of the Murgia Materana: it is an archaeological, historical and natural park, which includes the territory of the nearby municipality of Montescaglioso.
The visit to the Park can also be considered a worthy afternoon conclusion to complete a memorable visit, already dedicated, in the morning, to the city itself and its most famous monuments.
In fact, if you do the visit of the Park of the Murgia Materana in the afternoon, once the sunset approaches, this allows you to enjoy the landscape of the Sassi and the Civita areas, perched on the opposite side of the ravine. As the twilight intensifies and the first lights of the street lamps and houses come on, we will be seized by an intense and pleasant emotion of poignant poetry.

There are several monumental sites within the territory of the Park of the Murgia Materana and, personally, at least I recommend you to visit by yourself a couple of them, just as a complement to the simple nature walk.
